Daniel Vacchio is a truly unique falsetto vocalist and all round musician. Having been involved in music from an early age, Daniel first rose to prominence as a percussionist - his skills were utilised by producers such as Phil Asher, Nathan Haines and Domu (Dominic Stanton) for a variety of projects including the Rima excursions on the JCR Compost label. Daniel also appeared as part of the Phuturistix live band, again on drums, for their album launch at London’s Fabric. However, at this time, he began to gain confidence in his vocal ability. Hi first artist release saw him team up once more with Domu for two tracks on the excellent Chillifunk label; ‘ Time To Take EP’ and ‘Too Many Nights’. Soon after label chiefs Lofty & Dr Bob Jones hooked up Daniel’s vocal talents on their East West Connection release ‘Look Inside Your Soul’.

His debut album, ‘Shine Y’ Light’ reflects his individual, inspiring, fresh UK style, seamlessly blending classic soul sensibilities with new, injecting hip hop influences whilst retaining a strong song ethic throughout the album. The production duties lie with Dave Jones, a close friend and true innovator from deep within the UK music scene. As the first LP to emerge from the Phuture Lounge camp, the marker has been set.

With his debut single “Room For All to be release in the pipeline, there’s already a huge buzz surrounding Vaceo. Receiving radio support from acknowledged scene leaders Gilles Peterson, Benji B, Patrick Forge, further props have come from the likes of Trevor Nelson and Ras Kwame, proving the wide appeal of his music. The Unabomber’s opened their recent Electric Souls 3 compilation with “Right Here”.

Vaceo is perhaps most at home in front of a crowd. The thrill of creating and performing a live set from start to finish is the driving force behind his live shows. With plenty of surprises it’s no ordinary vocal performance – expect to see him on percussion too as his natural exuberance and passion for music flows through into the live shows.

Mark de Clive-Lowe (Antipodean / ABB Soul) “Dope shit! Well impressed. Had the whole lot on repeat.

Gerd (4 Lux Records) “Beautiful tracks! When can I hear the rest of the album?”

Tyler Askew (SNC Mag / Rude Movements) “Shit is hot! – Holla at me!”

Michael Rutten (Soul Patrol/Compost Radio) “Now that’s pure class. Laidback soulmusic. Very well produced!”

Andy Crowther (Whistlebump) “Album of the year? Reminds me a little of Amp but with better songwriting!”

Waajeed - Platinum Pied Pipers “I’m really digging the "Shine Y’ Light" track.” One I’d like to remix…”
